Wow! So it has been May since either of us have last posted anything!

Within that time we have ...celebrated our 3rd Anniversary, spent a week in KY, directed two summer Theatre camps/two shows, Brian has been in TX for a week, Melanie in Dublin, GA for a few days, celebrated the 4th of July for a few nights in Windemere, FL, had a baby, gave the baby back, and much, much more! A fun yet fast summer that is coming to a close way too quickly! And we still haven't made it back to the beach yet!

So your probably wondering about the baby and baby pictures. Brian was recruiting at the Smart Marriage conference here in Orlando and I have been searching for a day job. While on Craig's list I found a lady that needed childcare for three days for her baby, while she attended the same conference Brian was working. So we got to play parents for a few days. It was so fun to watch Brian with Jordan, I am proud to say that this is the most comfortable I have ever seen him with a baby, and he did not hold the 4 month old like a bag of potatoes! Jordan played with us for three days and all I have to say is ...I better get some bigger muscles before we have babies! That four month old was a whopping 18 pounds!!! And when you carried him around in his car seat he felt like 50! These pictures are from this past weekend with Jordan. Believe it or not, everyone thought he was ours, and he had the best personality that attracted so much attention.

I will quickly try to fill you in on the last couple of months, and then let you know what the rest of our summer holds.

-We had a great Anniversary together, I had off work that night so we celebrated at the Melting Pot. Of course, we went to Disney earlier in the week.

- Theatre Camp was awesome! It went by way too fast! We had 34 very well behaved kids. Though our elementary group presented some challenges we have never had to work with before, still it was a good camp. The audience was huge! We ran out of seats 20 minutes before the show started and were running around trying to find anyway we could to make more room in the audience. Brian did an awesome with set construction. We make such a great team!

-It was so awesome to be in KY. I ran into a few of my high school students while we were there. I was excited to learn they were both heading off to college! One imparticular had decided to stay around Nicholasville and wait for his girlfriend the year before and I did every thing I could to talk him out of that plan. Something must have stuck as he is away at school getting his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre! I must say it made me proud!

-We got to hang out with our good friends Kate & Adam and just be silly together!

-Brian's week in Texas went really well. I only wish I could have been with him.

-My Dad was surprised to see me pull up in the driveway on Father's Day, as he had no idea I was coming to Dublin. It was nice to be home and relax by the pool with my parents and sister.

-We house sat for some friends over the 4th of July week. It was great with a nice pool and hot tub! We watched fireworks from the front yard and had a few of our own.

-Yesterday I celebrated my one-year Anniversary as the Resident Manager here at the Ronald McDonald House. Hard to believe a whole year has gone by!! My boss and co-worker got me a one year old balloon, it was super cute, with one of those obnoxious singing cards that plays "The Best" by Mark Chapman. I have built some really good relationships with my operations team, which make the job that much more fun!

Now what's upcoming?

-I have received a couple job offers, though nothing has been very secure or promising, so I have turned them down.

-I have an interview tomorrow for a high school drama teacher, please pray for me!

-This coming up week Brian is on "vacation", he will be at school every day taking one of the intensive classes. I know he will be swamped with homework this weekend and the one to come.

-Brian leaves again for KY the last week of July for his staff meeting. Once he returns our summer will pretty much come to a close as Brian will return to school and work.
