I just discovered Wii !!!!

OK, so I didn't just discover it, Brian has been talking about it since it came out. Our neighbors downstairs have it and he has done all he can to try and convince me to come play. I have been boycotting it for quite sometime. In fact all video games, I believe they just add to our generation of obese kids... and encourage sitting indoors on your butt starring at a TV screen. When I grew up we had no video games. In fact, the majority of my childhood we had no cable. We rarely stayed in doors. We got home from school and were outside until dinner time. Then outside again until are parents forced us back in to do our homework. Swimming, biking, building forts, attempting to roller blade, twirling baton, you name it we did it outside. Now it seems kids can't see past their i-pods, computers, cellphones, and video games.

Well a few nights ago some of our friends had us over. Their little brother was in town visiting them and had brought along his Wii. I agreed to play and was instantly hooked. Might I add I was not just sitting and starring at a TV screen. I was up jumping, moving, playing tennis, hitting softballs, bowling, and sweating! Some ingenious person created a video game that is secretly a workout video. Oh and the Mini Games... well lets just say I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Our friend who is a manly guy and high school basketball coach cracked me up as he hula hooped as fast as his hips could go! Then the race running as fast as you can with your arms to get away from the gorilla, Brian looked like a nut. My favorite was the doubles tennis match, I was into it so much I smacked Brian, my opponent, pretty hard with my hand (by accident of course) I was paying attention to where he was on the screen not in the room.

If your against video games... I understand, and can agree, but give the Wii a chance. I loved it and really want a Wii!!!

You ever feel like you just go and go and go?!?

Well hello everyone! It has been a long time since I have been on here, so Brian felt like it was my turn to update. Our vacation was great, though it already seems like it was so long ago. We had a wonderful time in Dublin hanging out with my Dad and some of the best friends a person can have. Alicia, Meghan, good old Tim Allen. Yes, that's right I said Tim Allen and no he isn't the actor. We spent a couple days just relaxing by my parents pool... and of course we had to stop in at the best lunch spot in the country, Brian's Sub Shop! (and no that's not my Brian) You can get the best cheese steak in the world there and wash it down with a nice cool root beer. If there is one thing I could change I would make Brian's Sub Shop a chain... so I can enjoy it wherever. I guess the delight in that little shop too, happens when you walk in and see almost the entire city of Dublin at noon. People I haven't talked to in years!

We left the city of Dublin on the 4th of July and headed to Dear ole'Gramma's in West Palm Beach. There we met up with my Mom, sisters, brother, & several cousins and relatives. We spent the evening enjoying hamburgers and playing with sparklers... oh and getting attached by those little blast bomb things. The rest of the week was spent there in West Palm, going to the beach, by our old house, bowling, and my cousins wedding. Which was very nice.
I met her three children (my cousin's, the bride), two of them for the first time. All of them were adorable. Her one year old daughter was too cute for words! Made me want to start popping babies out! (Don't worry I am not going to.) There are pictures of the kids under our photos... they don't do the kids justice though.

After we left West Palm we headed to Sarasota, just the two of us. For some good old R&R! And believe me a week with my family and you need it! (I love yo guys, but you know it's true!) Brian and I went to Lido Beach and stayed at Lido Beach Resort, three days and two nights. It was heavenly! We almost felt as if we were on our Honeymoon all over again... but less crying because I didn't forget my passport or birth certificate. (hehe!) We found the most delightful little fudge shop! (Lucinda you would have loved it!) They made fabulous fudge and chocolate treats right in front of your eyes!!! Brian's not as much into sweets as I am, but if Lucinda had been there we could have undoubtly eaten the shop clean!

Our good days at the beach soon came to an end and we headed back to GA. We stayed one short night in Valdosta with our friend Meghan. Enjoyed dinner with her and a short visitor with our pastor's wife Celeste the following day. Then it was off to Stone Mountain!

Stone Mountain was not an easy place on the map to find, but we made it. We set up camp, our site was right next on the water. We then took the water taxi over to enjoy they laser show that night. So now we can finally say... Brian has seen Stone Mountain!!! The next day concluded our trip, we packed up our camp and headed north.... our journey was coming to an end.

Now here we are back in Wilmore... Brian is finishing up a week of very concentrated classes. And I am buried in Theatre curriculum. My mid-high/high camp starts next week, and I have 14 kids coming so far. I am not sure I completely knew what I was getting myself into when I took this whole thing on. But I am very excited!

I just feel like we have been on the go all week. Brian and I see each other for about an hour a day. I think I have begun to forget what he looks like! Before we know it our whole summer will be gone and it will be back to a regular schedule... whatever that is!

Keep us in your prayers! God has opened some more possibilities for me... and Brian is trying to deiced on the candidacy process and a church. We look forward to see just what God is going to do!!! We hope and pray all of you are enjoying your last weeks of summer too!

1550 Miles Down, 500 to go.
